Ahrefs Review – Part 2

Ahrefs Review – Part 2

As most of you know or have seen, we did a review of ahrefs about a week or so ago. While we were doing it we realized that a tool so good and so valuable deserved more of out time and more than one post. Using this all day every day just confirmed that idea, so here is part 23 of the Ahrefs review.

Today we are going to go over the most important tabs, well at least in our opinion.

The Anchor Tab:

This is extremely valuable for anyone who is building links, tracking links, or just monitoring incoming links in general. Here you will be able to see the anchor text, # of links, # of referring domains, and the % of that specific anchor text. By default it is sorted by the # of Referring Domains (highest to lowest). All you have to do is click the “Backlink Count” and this will sort by the anchor text % (highest to lowest). This view is our favorite because you can just go down the list and you know that the highest % will be on top.

The New/Lost Tab:

This is our favorite and most used by our team here. Here you will see a graph on the left hand side and a monthly calendar on the right. The calendar on the right is absolutely genius  Here you can view how many new or lost links on a daily basis.

New Lost Tab Top Info

Under those two you will see a bar that has all the info about that days links (this is totals for the day not individual link info)

New Link General Info

You will be able to see the following info about each individual link:

Sitewide or not

If the link is text, form, frame, or redirect

Dofollow or nofollow

Image or no image

Gov or edu links

Below that is the good stuff. Here you will see:

AHrefs Rank

Ahrefs Domain Rank

Referring Page URL

Social Media Info (G+, Twitter, Facebook)

# of Internal and External Links

Link URL’Link Anchor Text

Date Link Was Placed

Type of Link (text, image, etc…)

Individual Link Info

As you can see, ahrefs is the best backlink tool out there. the amount of data, their index, the speed they find new links, and all around they have the best thing going.
